Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have taken and passed a NYS Civil Service examination and be reachable off the Civil Service eligible list.

Duties Description The Office Assistant 3 will be the day-to-day office manager and is the supervisor of the classified staff within the Office of the Registrar. The duties require attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making skills, as well as communication with other administrative, functional offices and academic staff.
In order to maintain a positive environment for prospective students, students, community members, and College staff, the duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Oversee staff processing activities related to producing academic documents; Serves as one Veteran Certifying Official for the college; Create and maintain an Office of the Registrar Office Manual; Maintain an annual schedule of communications using multiple platforms; Provide students with excellent customer service, including telephone, e-mail or in person inquiries.
This position requires a comfort level with a technology-rich, multi-tasking environment. The duties require people, problem-solving and decision-making skills as well as communication with other administrative, functional offices and academic staff. The incumbent will work closely with culturally diverse faculty, staff and students in a multicultural learning work environment.
