Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled trades worker or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course.

Duties Description The Maintenance Assistant will perform a variety of semiskilled maintenance, repair and related activities under the supervision of the Trades Generalist. The Maintenance Assistant should have working knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the trade to which they’re assigned. Additionally, they should also have working knowledge of safety standards, procedures, applicable codes and regulations. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Performing semiskilled carpentry tasks, electrical repairs and masonry repairs; Assist in maintaining heating and air conditioning equipment; Assist in grounds work including lawn care, landscaping and snow removal; Setting up meeting rooms for conferences, meetings and other functions; Ability to climb ladders and work at heights on scaffolds and platforms; Ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor

Additional Comments Special Information: Must possess a valid NYS driver's license
