Minimum Qualifications Must be licensed and currently registered as a Physician Assistant by the New York State Education Department or poises a limited permit to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York State. If appointed with a limited permit, the candidate has one year from the date their permit was issued to obtain their license.

Duties Description Under the supervision of a physician, a physician assistant develops a health profile buy taking health and development history, performing physical examinations, analyze clinical laboratory data and other diagnostic tests. Develops or assist in the development of a health plan for primary, acute, or long-term acre. Initiates and provides emergency care service as appropriate in life threatening situations. Coordinates disease prevention and health maintenance programs using available resources., Maintains records on all individuals examined or treated. Conducts routines physical examinations for individuals. These services are provided to inmates in a medium security prison.
