Minimum Qualifications Requirements:
Associate degree in Construction Technology, Building Maintenance, or related area field
Ten years' experience in maintenance/facilities management
Experience successfully managing staff in an unionized environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated experience implementing systems to improve maintenance operations
Experience in using technology to streamline systems
Valid unrestricted NYS driver's license
Preferred requirements:
Experience working in a residential college or university setting
Bachelor degree
Duties Description Job Description:
SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward thinking and engaging Manager of Buildings and Grounds to the join the Facilities/Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Physical Plant Director, the Manager of Buildings and Grounds is responsible for daily and long term maintenance of campus facilities. This includes maintenance areas, structural, painting, locksmith, plumbing, electrical, automotive, grounds, heating plant, preventive maintenance, and waste management. The Manager provides overall leadership and direction for maintenance activities, establishes priorities, and works to continuously improve the condition of campus buildings and grounds.
The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring and preparing a budget, supervising and evaluating staff, as well as, developing and implementing policies, all governing regulations, and assisting with the planning and oversight of capital construction projects. Assist in the development of short and long-term goals to support the mission of the college. In addition, the incumbent will act as a liaison between the department and the campus community.

Salary: $75,000, commensurate with experience
Hours: Mon - Friday, weekends and evenings as necessary
