Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be eligible for a transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The Public Service Commission Operations Clerk 1 works in the Executive Office, Office of the Secretary, Central Operations Unit. Duties will include but not be limited to:
• Provides technical assistance to individuals; and researches and processes documents filed with the Department of Public Service and makes determinations as to document types and categories, ensuring that all are in compliance with the Public Service Law, State Administrative Procedure Act (SAPA) guidelines, and Commission Rules of Procedures.
• Performs complex and in-depth research using all available resources; possesses working knowledge of internal databases.
• Analyzes formal/informal petitions filed with the Secretary to the Commission and makes determinations on appropriate categories and distribution.
• Creates new cases using internal databases.
• Processes Commission orders, notices, rulings, tariff filings.
• Assists Agency staff and the public with researching and retrieval of public documents filed with the Agency; responds to inquiries with regard to Agency documents and the courses of action used to process same.

Additional Comments The working hours of this position are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. with a 45-minute lunch.
