Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate would have progressively responsible professional work experience in the administrative support of an investigative office with excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills and a strong command of prioritization that supports efficient office operations. Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
Duties Description The Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI) is an investigative office within the New York State Department of Health’s Division of Nutrition. The Health Program Administrator (HPA) position will oversee the collection process of monetary penalties imposed on targets of investigations due to violations of rules and regulations of the New York State Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). The HPA will track these payments utilizing various systems including SharePoint, Microsoft Excel and a customized management information system. The HPA will be responsible for communicating with internal and external individuals including subjects of investigations, the NYS Attorney General’s Office, program staff, Division leadership and Executive staff. This position will perform paraprofessional duties and provide programmatic, technical, and investigative assistance to management, supervisory personnel and field staff. This will involve research for investigative purposes and including multiple databases and internet searches.
