Minimum Qualifications PSGR 1, SG-18: Permanent service in this title, or one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a title SG-16 or higher, and otherwise eligible for transfer.
PSGR Trainee, NS: One year of permanent competitive or 55 b/c service in a title allocated to SG-11 or higher, and otherwise eligible to transfer under Civil Service Law.
Duties Description Under the supervision of a Public Safety Grants Representative 2, the Criminal Public Safety Grants Representative 1 (PSGR1) will review and evaluate grant applications and make appropriate recommendations to OPDF supervisors and managers, and will subsequently work with grantees in developing program goals, objectives, tasks and performance measures necessary for executing grant contracts.
The PSGR1 will also be responsible for using the electronic grants management system (GMS) for preparing required documents supporting the contract; monitoring active programs, conducting independent site monitoring visits and providing technical assistance to grantees; and working with Finance staff to help track program encumbrances and expenditures. The PSGR1 will assist with the implementation of new State and Federal local assistance contracting requirements. Additionally, this position may be responsible for managing special grants and other assignments as requested by OPDF supervisors and managers; assisting in organizing regional and advisory group meetings; and participating in ongoing training and staff development activities.
Additional Comments Appointment is subject to Division of Budget waiver approval.
