2. Reassignment Requirement: You must hold the same title at the University at Buffalo.
3. Reinstatement Requirement: You must be a former state employee to request reinstatement to the title that was held (or transferable title).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Incumbent should be able to be self-directed, customer-service oriented, possess excellent computer and communication skills, and maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; Excel, Outlook, Word, and Access.
• Experience working for UB and knowledge of UB systems: Gradmit, SIRI, Administrative Gateway, CONCUR, eReq, MYUB, UBbox, HUB.
• Experience with the following software programs: Survey Monkey, Word Press (web page maintenance), Qualtrics (survey), SONA Systems (research participant software).
Duties Description Position Summary:
The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University at Buffalo is seeking an Office Assistant 1. This position is customer service oriented and will provide clerical assistance to the department and be trained to become the travel expert, a critical component position in a large and complex department with multiple undergraduate and graduate program degrees. In this position, you will:
• Perform clerical work in the department’s main office. Tasks will include: greet visitors, answer telephone, address questions and concerns appropriately.
• Review travel transactions, make corrects and move forward in work flow to support reimbursements using the new Concur System.
• Provide administrative assistance to Directors of 1) Cognitive Science Center, 2) The departments Honors Program, 3) Faculty Search Committees.
• Coordinate conference room schedules.
• Maintain the department’s lab room key system for faculty, staff, graduate students, adjunct instructors, student assistants, and research staff.
• Assist users with the departments copier and submit maintenance requests.
