Minimum Qualifications One year of experience in the operation of heavy equipment, which may include bulldozers, front end loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, etc. Must possess a valid NYS Class A CDL with air brake endorsement.

Duties Description Perform critical maintenance and rehabilitation work on infrastructure and facilities, including campgrounds, boat launch facilities, offices, flood control facilities, recreational facilities, road systems, vehicles, foot trails, utilities, bridges, and dams. These activities are essential to ensuring the protection of public health and safety.

Additional Comments Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain and/or work in remote areas. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Travel may be required. Overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Will be subject to the Federal Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act (OTETA) of 1991, which requires employee testing for drug and alcohol abuse. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Must possess CDL Class A with air brake endorsement.

This is a temporary position with a duration of 4/1/19 through 11/30/19. Actual work hours and schedule may vary and will be discussed at interview.
