Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list; Or candidates must have at least one year of permanent competitive service in a title designated as appropriate for transfer in accordance with Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description Under the direct supervision of the Technical Writer 2, SG-23 in the Outreach unit, the incumbent will assist in the following to further the mission of the Public Information Office.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Assist in the development of outreach materials for the Paid Family Leave (PFL) program and other Board projects as needed.
• Develop internal newsletters, managing the writing, editing, and revision process from first draft to final design and layout, including securing higher-level approvals as necessary, and checking style, content, and conformity to agency standards and policy.
• Manage the draft process of Subject Numbers, including copyediting and incorporating requested changes.
• Execute the management approval process for all Subject Numbers.
• Write, edit and proofread letters and mass email content.
• Write, edit, and proofread content for executive and other all-staff messages.
• Coordinate with Board offices statewide on communications related to community involvement activities (Toys for Tots, Book Drives, etc.).
• Provide editorial review of Claims procedures drafted by Office of Continuous Improvement.
• Assist with organization and content development for all-staff meetings/webinars etc.
• Design surveys and monitor and track feedback related to agency programs and initiatives.
• Develop other Outreach deliverables as assigned.
