Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list; Or candidates must have at least one year of permanent competitive service in a title designated as appropriate for transfer in accordance with Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description Under the direct supervision of the Public Information Specialist 2, SG-23 in the Outreach unit, the incumbent will assist in the following to further the mission of the Public Information Office.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Effectively explain Workers' Compensation Board initiatives (including Paid Family Leave) to stakeholders including, but not limited to, injured workers, employers/businesses, payers, medical providers, attorneys/licensed representatives and labor unions.
• Informational material development, including development of letters and mass email content, printing, distribution, stocking, and material tracking.
• Interact effectively and represent the Board before a wide range of community and professional entities at outreach events (including some travel/nights/weekends as needed).
• Assist with researching, preparation, coordination, and participation in educational conferences and workshops statewide to explain and publicize Board programs. Audience size may vary from small individual groups to groups of several hundred.
• Develop and conduct presentations for use at conferences, conventions, seminars, webinars, and training sessions.
• Design surveys and monitor and track feedback related to external communications and initiatives.
• Manage shared mailboxes including routing incoming emails for proper response and responding to inquiries as appropriate.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, WebEx and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Survey Monkey preferred.
• Develop other Outreach deliverables as assigned.
