Minimum Qualifications A. Experience

Five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative, consultative or supervisory experience in a mental health program including one of the following:

1. One (1) year of satisfactory experience in a position
comparable to a Clinical Chief of Service (COS) or Director of
Mental Health Rehabilitation;

OR

2. Two (2) years of satisfactory experience in a position as
administrative head of a multi-disciplinary treatment team;

OR

3. Two (2) years of satisfactory supervisory, professional, or
administrative experience in the development, operation,
and/or implementation of the mental health service delivery
system for State facilities, counties, or local/private agencies
in three (3) or more of the following areas: program
development, management procedures, community
organization, resource planning, funding, program proposals,
advisory boards, consumer and community advocacy and
intergovernmental relations.

AND

B. Education

A Master's degree in a mental hygiene discipline (including physician assistant, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, speech pathology and audiology, communication disorders, psychology, recreation therapy, rehabilitation counseling, education, nursing), hospital administration, community mental health, business or public administration or other administrative area specifically related to health care, behavioral or social science from an accredited school; or a valid license to practice medicine in New York State or Canada. Current registration or licensure required where applicable.

Additionally, all candidates must be eligible to participate in Federal health care programs (e.g., Medicaid). Individuals excluded from participation in these programs will not be considered.

Duties Description The DDPC 2 Operations is an essential member of the facility’s Executive Management Team, who work closely together to ensure continuity of care and services for the people served by CPC. Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the DDPC 2 Operations is responsible for the direction and oversight of CPC’s community service programs, including a family care program, two outpatient clinic sites, a satellite clinic offering services to an adult home, a Mobile Integration Team (MIT), a Care Coordination Program, and an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, in addition to the 171 residential beds. The DDPC 2 Operations participates in the development, implementation, interpretation, and evaluation of facility goals and policies to ensure efficient and effective service delivery; supervises, coordinates, and directs the activities of subordinate managers in administrative and operational program areas; monitors and oversees staffing, assignments and work schedules to ensure quality patient care; and establishes and maintains safe environments for patient care with a focus on cultural competence, community care and recovery.

Additional Comments Salary: $132,528 - $166,696; Plus $3,026 Location Pay

Creedmoor Psychiatric Center (CPC), a state-operated and Joint Commission accredited facility, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center 2 – Operations (DDPC 2 Operations). Located in Queens Village, New York, this large, urban facility operates 322 inpatient beds, 171 outpatient residential beds, a Mobile Integration Team (MIT) and a wide array of other outpatient programs providing mental health services to adults residing in the borough of Queens.
