Minimum Qualifications Reassignment - Currently in the title and an employee of DEC

Reinstatement Eligible - Previously held the title on a permanent competitive basis or held a title as indicated under the transfer eligible section on a permanent competitive basis.
or

Transfer Eligible - One year of permanent competitive service at Salary Grade 11 or higher and either:
Eligible for transfer under Section 70.4: Must meet the open competitive minimum qualifications below;
or
Eligible for transfer under Section 52.6: Must have current or prior service in a title designated as 52.6 within two salary grades\one M grade of this position. To determine if your title is designated as 52.6 go to the Department of Civil Service website http://www.cs.ny.gov/ and search for your title under GOT-IT.
or
Eligible for transfer under Section 70.1: Permanent competitive service as a Senior Administrative Analyst, Program Aide, Senior Librarian, Secretary 2. Open competitive minimum qualifications (provided for 55b/c candidates and 70.4 transfer eligible): Bachelor's degree.

Duties Description The incumbent of this position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

• Track DEC internal controls matters and program input, identify issues seen through tracking, recommend solutions.
• Serve on an internal controls team to implement approved solutions to issues.
• Schedule and track implementation of issues resolutions.
• Analyze DEC functions and related internal controls issues. Identify options for addressing issues.
• Organize department-wide internal controls input into consolidated spreadsheets for use in relation to the DEC Internal Control Summary Certification Report and forms.
• Devise dashboards demonstrating results of analyses of DEC internal control matters and efficiency needs.
• Communicate and work with multiple programs on internal controls.
• Assess DEC internal control communications needs and recommend actions and tools to fill those needs. Work on a team to implement tools.
• Research and be informed on NYS internal controls requirements, laws, policies.
• Write clear, concise summary reports and recommendations.
• Assist with leading DEC process improvement projects in multiple programs.
• Work on process improvement teams to develop ideas and paths to achieving those ideas.
• Develop expertise in specific programs, assess process improvement needs and recommend projects.
• Assist the Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Management with special assignments on Department impacts in those areas.
