Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

52.6 Transfer: This position is designated administrative under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law and may be filled by administrative transfer under that section provided that transfer criteria is met. The incumbent must have one year of permanent competitive service in a title Grade 25/M-1 or above designated “administrative” under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Preferred Qualifications: Eligible reassignment or transfer candidates must be able to conduct high-level economic research on a broad range of labor market topics. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong background in economics and statistics, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and experience managing or leading multiple projects simultaneously.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:

Under the general direction of the Chief of the Bureau of Labor Market Information (LMI), the incumbent will help to coordinate the development, preparation, marketing and dissemination of statewide and regional LMI and other economic data to a variety of constituent groups including but not limited to the Governor’s Office, NYSDOL executive staff and program managers, the legislature, state and local Workforce Investment Boards, state and local economic development agencies, jobseekers, businesses and educational institutions. The incumbent will also oversee the production of federal performance reports and monitor compliance with data standards for programs funded under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
