Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:
Education Level required: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Relevant experience required: 2+ years of relevant experience, government experience preferred.
Knowledge required: Ability to work successfully with leadership, public officials and as part of a project team. Excellent Communication Skills – oral and written & in exercising judgement. Competency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) plus Database.
Duties Description Basic Function: Assist Chief of Staff (COS) with project functions and day-to-day management of operations.
Work Performed:
• Perform and manage a range of projects at the direction of the Chief of Staff.
• Work closely with the management of COS’ schedule with function oversight for COS’ calendar and travel.
• Prepare materials and follow up for ongoing activities such as Leadership Meetings, President & CEO Meetings, Meetings with Governor’s Office Staff and ESD Board Prep.
• Provide daily updated project status reports.
• Maintain “master” database of related State Leadership, RDs, REDCs, RO Staff.
• Ongoing coordination with Regional Offices and Regional Directors, with follow up on critical issues.
• Perform database searches to create computerized reports, as directed.
• Participate and coordinate reporting into the Executive Chamber.
• Assist with Regional Council Operation, as needed. This can include: organization of council meetings, work group meetings, scoring and review of CFA, Transformative and Recharge NY projects; and maintaining project timelines to ensure reviews and scoring are timely.
