Minimum Qualifications You must hold or have held the title of Secretary 1 or be reachable on the full-time NYS Civil Service list.
Employees in specific salary grade 9 titles may be eligible to apply via a 70.1 transfer as well (2 salary grade jump). Duties Description Summary: Secretary for the Educational Opportunity Program. Support all facets of the program.

Major Responsibilities:
1. Review/prepare routine correspondence, maintain filing system, screen mail/email, calls, maintain EOP director/staff calendar. Make Director/staff travel arrangements for professional work; assist EOP students. When requested, record minutes of EOP staff meetings.

2. As assigned by the EOP director, assist Director, senior counselors, summer residential and instructional staff (teachers/SI). Assist in Summer Program preparation

3. Assist in the facilitation and scheduling of banquets and events.

4. Monitor EOP office account (including office procurement card use) summaries. Maintain correspondence with Office of Opportunity Programs reports submission schedule requirements.

5. Maintain currency and fluency in computer software and hardware used in the EOP office.
