Minimum Qualifications Associate degree or 60 college credits in an agricultural or natural resources discipline.

Duties Description This position will provide program technical support as it pertains to the delivery of the State’s Agricultural and Farmland protection programs as authorized under Article 25-AA and 25-AAA. Travel could be up to 20 percent. Duties include, but not limited to:

Responds to general information requests from the public and directs inquires to the appropriate program manager concerning Agriculture and Markets Law and other State Laws that affect farm operations; assists with locating information, conducting routine research, periodic mailings and other administrative duties; develops routine correspondences, program guidance documents and other related internal and external program communications; works with program managers to maintain case files, perform periodic database entry and tabulate activities for annual reporting; assists with the development of solicitations and the administration of grants as requested; assists in the development of publications, guidelines, correspondents and other routine communications; maintains division technical references and performs periodic updates to online documents; assists in the development of presentations, charts and other outreach media in support of program goals; coordinates and assembles materials for meetings and training opportunities; documents meeting discussions and proceedings through the development of minutes; works cooperatively with the Department’s Counsel and Finance office to fulfill information requests, communicates with vendors, monitors the performance of contracts and document payments as needed.
