Duties Description Under the supervision of a Manager, Staffing Services, the incumbent of this position will oversee Section 1A of the Division and will be responsible for:
• Supervising staff responsible for: exam planning, development and implementation; candidate recruitment; consultation of diversifying the workforce; payroll transition processing; career mobility outreach; employment retention; and interpretation of Civil Service Law, Rules and Regulations, and policies.
• Providing customer service and merit system advice to a variety of agency human resources offices including Division of the Budget, Statewide Financial System, Office of Alcohol & Substance Abuse, Office for Temporary and Disability Assistance, Teachers Retirement System, Office for the Aging, and Attorney General.
• Overseeing the Professional Career Opportunities and Legal Specialty exams.
• Interacting with other public entities on high-level, sensitive, and controversial issues.
