Minimum Qualifications Current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service as an Office Assistant 2 (Calculations) G9, OR a NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a position allocated to a salary grade 7 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Proficient in use of MS Office and
familiarity with the use of SFS. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and provide exemplary customer service. Must be able to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks as assigned. Must be able to work independently, and in groups, to carry out assignments to completion within parameters given.

Duties Description Perform clerical and office support work, including processing transactions and maintaining records for the following tasks: EMT Course reimbursement vouchers; grant expenditure reimbursement vouchers; council Travel reimbursement vouchers; state examination Proctor payment vouchers; CME reimbursement vouchers; process reciprocity requests; process new vendor set up requests through OSC; collect and process: Part 18 Fees, and Controlled Substance fees and Agency Licensing fees. Respond to customer requests for information and research issues through the use the BEMS database system; update information in the BEMS database system; aid with monthly state examination administration and execution process;
Resolve complaints and problems; maintain compliance with all DOH & BEMS policies and procedures; work directly with other BEMS Administration and Education staff; and perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
