Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), Division of Enterprise Solutions/Business Office at Region 1 Western Office, is seeking to fill a Secretary 1 position. The position will provide support to the Business Office. This includes a full range of secretarial duties including but not limited to the following:

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receiving correspondence and phone inquiries, handling them as needed, and when applicable routing them to the appropriate staff.
• Serving as the gatekeeper and guide to Business Office services, assisting other departments and staff in using the services.
• Submitting and tracking requests for B-1184 expenditure approvals.
• Preparing miscellaneous reports.
• Transmitting instructions from the Business Officer to subordinates and following up to see that instructions are carried out and deadlines are met.
• Organizing and coordinating information flow by acting as liaison among key staff and other employees.
• Ordering supplies for the department.
• Reviewing and checking time records.
• Tracking and typing staff evaluations.
• Updating employee information and assisting employees with password resets in the Statewide financial system.
• Assisting Business Office management with various projects.
• Resolving day-to-day operational problems.
