Minimum Qualifications Transfer Qualifications Any permanent Office Assistant 2 (Keyboarding) OR
Any person eligible for 70.1 transfer.

Note: If you are appointed provisionally, you must take the next scheduled Civil Service examination for this title and your score must be reachable on the resulting eligible list before you can be permanently appointed. If you do not pass the examination or achieve a reachable score, you may not be retained.
Minimum Qualifications: You must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had twelve months of permanent competitive service as follows: as a Data Entry Machine Operator, Data Entry Machine Operator (Spanish Language), Keyboard Specialist 1, Keyboard Specialist 1 (Chinese Language), Keyboard Specialist 1 (Spanish Language), Law Department Document Specialist Trainee 1 or Trainee 2, Office Assistant 1 (Keyboarding), Office Assistant 1 Keyboarding (Chinese Language), or Office Assistant 1 Keyboarding (Spanish Language).
Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include, but not limited to:
• Supervise up to two Office Assistants 1.
• Required to have applicable knowledge of the incident management and Jonathan’s Law.
• Review incident files to ensure they are in order and for accuracy, timeliness and thoroughness.
• Assist Office Assistants 1 with all aspects of their job when available.
• Extensive use of computers, primarily for creating and maintaining spread sheets, data base application, and word/excel processing applications.
• Prepare files for DOH surveys, and IRC meetings.
• Answer phones and take all information for incident reporting.
• Provide coverage/back up for Office Assistants 1/Program Aide and Jonathan’s Law as required.
• Answer phones for department members and take messages.
• Maintain detailed spreadsheet to track all incidents.
• Monitor Incident Mailbox for incoming documentation, information requests, etc.
• Responsible for notifications in regards to incidents as regulations require.
• All other duties as assigned.
