Salary RangeFrom $56604 to $71980 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title, or one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c in a title allocated to a SG-16 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law. You may be eligible for 70.4 transfer to the Trainee 1 level if you have served one year in a position SG-11 or higher, have a Bachelor’s degree, and have taken and passed the PCT, PCO or PATT exam. Candidates who are currently 55b/c eligible and possess a Bachelor’s degree are encouraged to apply for this position. Candidates on the Professional Career Opportunities (PCO) eligible list will be canvassed, however if you are a candidate with current standing on the PCO eligible list with the score of 100, you are encouraged to apply.
Candidates appointed at the Trainee 1 level will need to successfully complete a two-year traineeship before advancing to the Sr. Budgeting Analyst, SG-18 level.
Duties Description The duties of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Complete appropriation segregation, interunit transfers and sub-allocation transactions in the Statewide Financial System (SFS);
• Assist in the development of the Agency’s annual budget request and in the creation of annual spending projections;
• Draft the Agency’s fringe and indirect cost waiver requests and monitor such charges;
• Aid in the monitoring of the Agency’s State operations and local assistance spending;
• Track Agency hiring and personal service spending by fund and position;
• Track the Agency’s revenue streams, ensuring that fund cash balances are sufficient to meet the Agency’s needs;
• Draft Federal Fiscal Reports and prepare drawdowns of federal funds;
• Assist in the preparation of Annual Federal Grant Certification and performance reports;
• Serve as the Agency Coordinator for Minority / Women Business Enterprises (MWBE);
• Assist in documenting unit processes and procedures; and
• Supervise, and/or assist in the supervision of the daily Administrative Services Unit/Finance Unit operations, consisting of:
• Approval of grant, victim compensation, and operations payments;
• Monitor SFS updates, and direct actions, when applicable;
• Oversee purchasing and accounts payable;
• Review procurement and net card expenses for approval; and
• Manage the Agency fleet program.
