Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service Eligible List, Professional Careers Opportunity (PCO) or OPWDD’s Central Office Public Administration Traineeship Transition (PATT). Appointment will be made at the traineeship level.
OR
Transfer: Candidates must have permanent competitive status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 or 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.
Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As a member of OPWDD's Division of Data Management and Strategy (OMS), responsibilities of the Senior Administrative Analyst may include, but are not limited to, the following:
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide project management and planning support to the Bureau of Population Health (and other Division units as needed) for current projects and upcoming agency initiatives.
• Responsible for drafting, editing and vetting of high-level documents that range from correspondence materials to complex excel spreadsheets while showing exceptional communication and analytical skills to determine accuracy and relevancy of these materials
.
• Exercise superior judgment and problem-solving skills, anticipate and act on the needs of the bureau and take initiative in analyzing, designing and/or implementing necessary changes to standardize procedures with minimal supervision.
• Oversee the maintenance of various electronic files, policies/procedures, databases, materials, supplies and/or equipment while continually assessing the need for altering, updating or creating new ones.
• Compose correspondence, charts, graphs and presentations that can be technical in nature, including supporting materials if necessary.
• Take initiative to identify and communicate errors, omissions and/or discrepancies in data, data analysis and footnotes, supporting documentation and validation within division documents.
• Organize and manage projects with limited instruction including planning, coordinating, executing, and providing updates regarding the status of work.
• Compile and analyze data in order to prepare reports and recommendations about work problems and identify new opportunities for efficient processes and participate and collaborate in process improvement initiatives.
