Permanent qualifications: Candidates must currently be a permanent Office Assistant 2 (Calculations) OR be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list.

Transfer qualifications: Candidates must be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Provisional qualifications: Candidates must be a qualified employee of NYS and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as an office assistant, clerical, or keyboarding title allocated to a grade 5 or higher.

Duties Description The Office Assistant 2 (Calculations) will be assigned to the OPWDD Contract Hub.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Organize information for bids, assist with creating bidders lists, post advertisements in both the contract reporter and on the OPWDD Intranet and work with Department of Labor to request and provide information for prevailing wage contracts. Work with contractors/vendors and agency staff to help resolve any issues/complaints to ensure that contract needs are met and surveys customer districts to ensure that they are satisfied with the services being provided. Supervision of multiple staff. Other duties as assigned.
