Minimum Qualifications Nurse 1: Candidate must be a registered nurse in NYS with current registration to practice.*

Nurse 2 Psychiatric – A registered nurse in NYS with current registration to practice. One year of post-licensure registered clinical experience including six months post-licensure specialized nursing experience with individuals, at least 50% of whom have been diagnosed with mental illness, alcoholism, or chemical dependency or eighteen months of post-licensure registered nurse general clinical experience.*

*Candidate must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare program. Failure to maintain licensure, certification and Medicaid/Medicare eligibility will result in the termination of employment.

MA Stutzman ATC is a Tobacco-Free Facility.

Duties Description • Administer nursing and direct care including completion of nursing assessments;
• Complete patient admissions; transcribe and execute prescriber/medical orders;
• Administer medications and treatments; collect specimens; perform venipunctures;
• Monitor the environment for patient health, safety, and security;
• Involvement in facility performance assessment and improvement activities;
• Function as backup shift charge in the absence of the shift charge;
• Proficient use of a computer is required for recordkeeping and documentation;
• Maintain nursing/facility supplies and equipment;
• Provide crisis intervention as needed; transport patients as assigned using NYS vehicle;
• May direct other staff, trainees, volunteers in Nursing assignments;
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned; Completion of other tasks to meet ATC needs.
• Incumbent will be required to work overtime shifts periodically as needed.

MA Stutzman ATC is a trauma-informed treatment program. MA Stutzman ATC serves parents and their children within the program (24/7).

Background Investigation Requirements:

Each case will be determined on its own merits, consistent with the applicable provisions of State and federal laws, rules, and regulations. Prospective employees will be fingerprinted in order to obtain a record of their criminal history information, and may be required to pay any necessary fees. 3) Screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR). Prospective employees may be required to pay any necessary fees. Additionally, prospective employees whose names are indicated on the SCR may be barred from appointment.
