Minimum Qualifications Eight years of experience listed below, including two years of supervisory experience or one year of managerial experience:
• Software development;
• As a technical team lead maintaining applications for NYS government;
• Developing/maintaining New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) open system applications or interfaces;
• Reviewing technical design documentation.

The following degrees may substitute for the general experience as indicated:
• Associates degree and seven years of experience
• Associates degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and six years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and five years of experience
• Master’s degree in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional year of experience
• Doctorate in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional 2 years of experience

Duties Description Under the direction of Assistant Director ITS 1, M4, within the Revenue and Transportation Portfolio/Business Solutions Bureau/ Department of Labor (DOL) Section, the Project Coordinator will serve as the ITS Lead Architect and will work closely with the vendor counterparts and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) architects to ensure that the vendor technology aligns with industry standards and best practices, and ensure the vendor thoroughly addresses design and development. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Define integration tasks required by ITS DOL Business Solutions, working in collaboration with the vendor counterpart Lead Architect;
• Direct the lead Business Analyst regarding additional documentation required for either the vendor or Business Solutions staff. Ensure the documentation provided is at the appropriate level of detail to be understood by ITS Business Solutions teams, who will be using the development tasks;
• Provide ITS sign-off for technical design deliverables and all deliverables related to integration with mandatory assets and interfaces;
• Provide oversight for the “integration design” for any required changes on the business solutions side. Must ensure a consistent pattern is followed;
• Coordinate with the vendor technical team on the infrastructure architecture of existing NYSDOL applications and technical aspects of NYSDOL home grown systems that will be replaced by project deliverables;
• Support the data migration leads and ensure that the ITS data migration and data bridging tasks are completed accurately and on time;
• Ensure that Business Solutions staff can work with the new technology and that the system can be supported after "go-live".
