Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title, or one year of permanent competitive or 55 b/c service as a SG-9 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law, or reachable on the Civil Service eligible list for this title.

Preferred qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access; ability to prepare mail merges; excellent organizational and time management skills; and the ability to use editing packages and PowerPoint.

Duties Description This position provides administrative support to the Administration and Probation Units within the Office of Program Development and Funding (OPDF). The Secretary 1’s duties will include, but will not be limited to, preparing formatting, and finalizing contracts; utilizing Grant Management System (GMS and Grants Gateway) to upload documents and emails as needed; preparing award notices, and emailing the notices to recipients; assisting with the daily operations of the units, and serving as backup for other units as needed; fielding and routing phone calls to the appropriate staff; submitting and tracking purchase and travel requests for the units; filing correspondence and general subject matter items; preparing and setting up meetings; and assisting, preparing, and managing correspondence, memos, reports, and other documents as needed.

Additional Comments Appointment is subject to Division of Budget waiver approval.
