Minimum Qualifications Human Resources Specialist 1, SG-18: eligible for a 52.6 or 70.1 transfer

Human Resources Specialist Trainee 1, NS: Reachable on the PCO eligible list, eligible for a Section 70.1 or 70.4 transfer, or 55-b/c eligible (Must have Bachelor’s Degree and 55b/c designation letter to qualify)

Duties Description The Human Resources Specialist 1 will report to the Director, Human Resources and serve as a generalist in the administration of the agency’s human resources program’s employee relations unit. Responsibilities include:

• Providing advice and assistance to program managers and supervisors in disciplinary matters.

• Acting as liaison with the legal office on issues involving employee relation activity, including litigation involving disciplinary action or grievance determinations.

• Communicating in oral and written form to employees at all levels, program managers, agency administrators, union representatives, the Governors’ Office of Employee Relations.

• Assisting in planning events for the Employee Assistance Program and the Events Planning Committee.
