Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service Eligible List, Professional Careers Opportunity (PCO) or OPWDD’s Central Office Public Administration Traineeship Transition (PATT). Appointment will be made at the traineeship level.
OR
Transfer: Candidates must have permanent competitive status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 or 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.
Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Office of Property Supports and Emergency Services is a centralized support office whose mission is to provide a standardized team approach to the management of Physical Plant Maintenance, Capital Services, Safety and Security, Fire Safety, Emergency Management, Environmental Services, and Food Preparation.
The Senior Administrative Analyst will be involved in planning and coordinating a continuous program of acquisition and construction of new facilities, and the rehabilitation and improvement of existing facilities.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties will include (but not limited to):
• Work in partnership with Cost and Property Services architects, engineers & plant superintendents to compile construction programs, feasibility and planning studies, including descriptions of the project, scope of work and requirements for capital projects;
• Planning and coordinating a continuous program of acquisition and construction of facilities, group community residences, institutional residences, day program facilities, clinical functions, administrative and executive offices; assisting facility and staff with prioritizing projects, request of the facility and region as a whole;
• Create and maintain standardized facility space programming information for the agency;
• Work with agency departments on staffing space and equipment requirements;
• Act as liaison with Bui9lding Management in coordination of agency central office staff relocations and building renovations;
• Prepare presentations to other State agencies such as OGS, DASNY & DOB;
• Attend and coordinate monthly progress meetings;
• Maintain Cost and Property Services reference library and vendor interface; and
• Responsible for developing specifications for purchases of equipment and furniture that comply with current codes and OGS approved contracts.
• May require 20% travel.
