Minimum Qualifications This is a transfer opportunity for current State Employees. The position is an 18-month traineeship leading to a CSEA grade 9. To be transfer eligible you must have current permanent or contingent permanent status as an Office Assistant 1 (Keyboarding), LDDS Trainee, or LDDS.

If you are reachable on the Beginning Office Assistant Civil Service Eligible List you may receive a canvass letter in the mail.

CANDIDATE MAY BE REQUIRED TO TAKE AND PASS A TYPING PERFORMANCE TEST.

Duties Description Produce legal work and correspondence in final form from draft.
• Verify citations and legal references.
• Review and log in mail into SilverCar.
• Organize and maintain records of indices of legal cases for the office.
• Organize, report on, and maintain databases.
• Set up conference calls and meetings for attorneys.
• Perform general office duties as assigned, such as answering phones, opening mail, record retrieval, filing, e-filing, posting checks, scanning, photocopying, faxing, ordering credit reports and motor vehicle abstracts.
• Proofread documents for correct legal terminology, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
