Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The Office Assistant 2 will perform general administrative support activities for Office of Human Resources (OHR), which includes the Employee Relations, Workforce Learning & Development and Personnel Bureaus.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Open, review, sort and distribute incoming mail.
• Answer and direct calls to appropriate staff, region or department by acting as the liaison.
• Maintain office filling systems (paper and electronic). Periodically purge obsolete files and send to the record archive center.
• Maintain and update Office of Human Resources websites and forms.
• Arrange and coordinate meetings and conference calls through WEBEX.
• Make travel arrangements and prepare the appropriate travel forms.
• Order supplies and manage the P-Card.
• Copy, scan and fax documents.

Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
