Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be current state employees and have a reachable score on the Secretary 2 list or have a current permanent appointment with 1 year of service as a Secretary 2 or as a title eligible for transfer to Secretary 2 or appointment as Secretary 2 here at UAlbany, less than 1 year of service (remainder of probationary period to be completed in new assignment) or be a former state employee eligible for reinstatement to the title of Secretary 2. May be filled from a mandatory reemployment list if one is in effect at the time of appointment..

Duties Description Secretary 2 (CSEA SG-15 competitive) to the Dean of the School of Criminal Justice is the principal administrative support to the Dean’s Office and reports directly to the Dean. Typical duties include but are not limited to: schedule meetings for the Dean and faculty; coordinate travel arrangements for senior leadership, guests, students and events related activities; prepare travel vouchers; conference planning; drafting letters for review and signature; writing minutes as needed; setting up and maintaining records maintenance systems; maintaining basic program accounts for budgeting / purchasing (ex. ordering of office supplies, using P-Card, etc.); personnel tasks (forms prep, on-boarding new hires, etc); overseeing the coordination of the overall office paper flow; and supervising and assigning duties to support staff.

Summer Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00PM
