70.4 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates with one-year permanent competitive service as a Grade 11 or higher, who have a bachelor’s degree*, and who have taken and passed the most recent examination for Labor Services Representative, Trainee 1, may qualify for transfer.
*From an educational institution accredited by a regional, national or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
As a Labor Services Representative, you would assist customers and provide a broad range of services to jobseekers and employers both on an individual basis and through group presentations. You would interview customers to evaluate the nature of services desired, obtaining a complete work history including job experience, education, skills, salary ranges and job preferences. You would identify barriers to employment and develop solutions to these barriers. You would provide information on resources available through the Department of Labor.
Additional Comments Position specific job duties may include occasional altered work schedule or job assignments which require availability and willingness to work occasional evenings and or out-stationed assignments.
Conditions of Employment: To be considered for appointment you will be required to pass a Civil Service language exam to demonstrate proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading Spanish at a level that will ensure your ability to perform the duties of the position.
