Minimum Qualifications Candidates must possess a New York State Engineer’s license and current registration.
Titles approved for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law are: Professional Engineer 1 Civil/Construction, Professional Engineer 1 Civil/Geotechnical, Professional Engineer 1 Civil/Structural, Professional Engineer 1 Civil/Transportation, Professional Engineer 1 Electrical, Professional Engineer 1 Environmental, Professional Engineer 1 Fire Protection, Professional Engineer 1 Industrial, Professional Engineer 1 Mechanical, or Professional Engineer 1 Mechanical/HVAC.
Candidates must be in permanent status and have served one year in one of the above titles.
Duties Description •Develop and maintain Parks construction contract “boilerplate” (general conditions, technical specifications, bidding documents)
•Develop and provide guidance and technical assistance to agency and regional staff on same
•Develop and maintain process guidance for construction contract administration including office engineering and inspection
•Assist in maintenance and updating to Consultant inspection program for CA/CI services
•Review and process contract Orders-On-Contracts
•Review contract disputes and participate in resolutions
•Assist in the use and development of Capital project and contract tracking system
•Special projects as assigned
Additional Comments •Experience with design phase assembly of bid documents and/or construction contract administration/inspection preferred
•Experience with process development, documentation & guidance
•Project management experience
•Highly Organized
•Computer literate
•Ability to work with multiple Park Regions
•Ability to work with outside entities (contractors, consultants, other agencies)
