Minimum Qualifications Current Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Health Program Administrator (G18); OR current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a title eligible to transfer under Section 52.6, Section 70.1, or Section 70.4 of the Civil Service Law to a Health Program Administrator (G18), Health Program Administrator Trainee 1 (NS), or Health Program Administrator Trainee 2 (NS). Duties Description Under the general supervision of a Health Program Administrator 1, the Health Program Administrator is responsible for supervision and administration of fiscal and reporting responsibilities in the office. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: supervise subordinate fiscal staff in Administrative Services Unit; coordinate timely and accurate processing of all purchasing requests and vouchers statewide; manage contracts for the office from inception to administration including coordinating budget requests with supervisor, working with vendor and administration to complete appropriate paperwork, monitoring contract terms and reviewing and processing vouchers as necessary; provide backup to processing of final actions taken by the office in the form of Board Orders including creating letters from templates, serving upon respondents via mail and reporting to national organizations; assist with other duties in Administrative Services as requested by the Director or Assistant Director of Administration.
