Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current NYS employee with permanent service in the competitive title of Office Assistant 2 (Keyboarding), Grade 9, OR;

• Eligible for a 70.1 transfer by way of current NYS employee with permanent service in a competitive title deemed comparable to Office Assistant 2 (Keyboarding) by the Department of Civil Service (must also be within 2 salary grades of grade 9), OR;

• Provisional: Current NYS employee with one year of continuous permanent service in the competitive title of:

Either A. Data Entry Machine Operator, Data Entry Machine Operator (Spanish Language), Keyboard Specialist 1, Keyboard Specialist 1 (Chinese Language), Keyboard Specialist 1 (Spanish Language), Law Department Document Specialist Trainee 1 or Trainee 2, Office Assistant 1-Keyboarding, Office Assistant 1-Keyboarding (Chinese Language) or Office Assistant 1-Keyboarding (Spanish Language).

Or B. In an office assistant or clerical title allocated to Grade 5 or higher.

Only the titles listed are qualifying. Service in a direct care title is not qualifying experience. Examples of non-qualifying titles are: Developmental Disabilities Secure Care Treatment Aide 1, Direct Support Assistant, Food Service Worker 1, Licensed Practical Nurse, Mental Health Therapy Aide, Security Services Assistant, and Youth Division Aide.

• Selected candidates who have not previously held a keyboarding title may be required to demonstrate typing proficiency using an alpha numeric computer keyboard, at a rate of at least 30 words per minute with at least 96% accuracy

Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The incumbent of this position serves as support for the Medical Staff and Clinic Operations in Corinth.
• Maintenance of the Individuals Medical Records both in the file room and in the clinic. This includes filing information, recovering information for staff and obtaining related information from outside providers.
• Answering phones, faxing, scheduling appointments
• Typing Medical Information (APE, etc.)
• Ordering Office supplies
• Assist or cover for other Administrative Support services
• Assist with Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation and maintenance of records
• Assist with billing and record keeping for the master's levels new billing system
• Assist with other special projects as needed
