Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled trades worker or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course.

Duties Description Assist in the maintenance and repair of motorized equipment. Including oil changes, tune-ups and minor repairs to vehicles, boats, trailers, heavy and small equipment. Maintain parts and supplies inventories. Clean equipment and shop areas.

- Perform a variety of tasks in the field of motor equipment maintenance.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections of vehicles and equipment following preventive maintenance schedules to insure safe and trouble free performance.
- Perform additional automotive shop tasks as assigned.

Additional Comments Must have valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Use of personal protection equipment, including a respirator, will be required. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Travel and overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must have a valid Class B CDL within 6 months of appointment with appropriate endorsements. Will be subject to the Federal Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act (OTETA) of 1991, which requires employee testing for drug and alcohol abuse. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 80 pounds.

This is an hourly position currently funded through 11/30/19, with a likelihood of continuing after that date. Actual work schedule and hours may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
