Minimum Qualifications
EITHER: 1) Reachable on the Civil Service eligible list; OR 2) Eligible for reassignment by virtue of having permanent competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 2 (SG-18); OR 3) Eligible for transfer under the provisions of the Civil Service Law by virtue of having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title.

• Knowledge of Firewall Administration
• Knowledge of URL Filtering
• Knowledge of Enterprise Endpoint Security products
• Knowledge of forensic tools
• Knowledge of Multi-Factor Authentication
• Knowledge of Vulnerability scanners
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity Standards and Best Practices
• Experience working with a ticketing system
• Experience with Virtualized environments and resources
• Experience working in a team environment
• Demonstrated business writing skills to correspond with both technical and business users
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
Duties Description The duties for the Information Technology Specialist 2 include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Produce and maintain procedural documentation
• Collaborate and assist others when needed
• Assist with antivirus administration – develop and tune policy, assist in upgrades, migrations and deployments
• Assist with MFA administration – deploy tokens, assist end users with setup and login issues. Assist in expansion of MFA throughout the organization
• Assist with Vulnerability Assessments – for both internal and external assessments, act as a technical liaison between end users and outside vendors. Provide technical assistance for resolving outstanding vulnerabilities
• Assist with Firewall administration – assist in the development and tuning of firewall policies following the principle of least privilege. Assist in troubleshooting, upgrading and maintaining the incumbent solution
• Assist with URL Filtering administration – assist in the development and tuning of URL filtering policies following the principle of least privilege. Assist in troubleshooting, upgrading and maintaining the incumbent solution
• Actively participate in a collaborative work environment that values team work and assisting others when needed
