Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be:
• Permanent service as a Sr. Physical Therapist OR;
• Eligible to 70.1 transfer to a Sr. Physical Therapist title, OR;
• Reachable on the current Civil Service List for Sr. Physical Therapist, OR:
• You must be licensed and currently registered to practice Physical Therapy in New York State AND have one year of post licensure physical therapy experience.

Duties Description Senior Physical Therapists may supervise Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants, they serve as an advanced clinician who plan and conduct medically prescribed treatment for Individuals receiving services utilizing all physical therapy methods. This position involves providing Physical Therapy services, as well as training new and current employees with DDSOO initiatives. They perform the duties of a professional clinician.

T PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as a member of Interdisciplinary treatment team as a Senior Physical Therapist.
• Assist with Safe Patient Handling related training to new and current staff as assigned.
• Assist with Wheelchair Securement Training.
• Assist with Fall Prevention and Wellness Programs.
• Consult with Interdisciplinary treatment team and individual to learn about physical condition and symptoms.
• Diagnose movement dysfunction and develop a treatment plan.
• Recommend appropriate assistive devices/adaptive equipment.
• Educate individuals, families, treatment team members and other staff on a variety of exercises, safe transfer techniques and adaptive equipment/assistive devices.
• Asses homes and vehicles to make recommendations on the appropriate and fiscally sound environmental and vehicular modifications.
• Attend team meetings as needed.
• Complete documentation, billing and maintain records on individuals on the HER.
• Supervision of PTA’s.
• Other duties as assigned.
