Minimum Qualifications EXPERIENCE:
Five (5) years of responsible management, administrative or supervisory experience in the health services field including two (2) years as manager of one or more of the following areas functioning in support of clinical or treatment services: budget, fiscal, human resource management, affirmative action, information systems management, or support services in a general hospital, community mental health center, health care facility or a facility or agency providing services to people diagnosed with mental illness, developmental disabilities or mental retardation.
AND
EDUCATION:
A Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university or one recognized by the NYS Education Department as following acceptable educational standards in hospital, health care, public or business administration or a related field.
OR
EXPERIENCE:
Seven (7) years of the experience described above including three (3) years as a manager as described above.
AND
EDUCATION:
A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or one recognized by the NYS Education Department as following acceptable educational standards.

Duties Description The Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center 2 – Administration (DDPC 2 – Administration) serves as an essential member of the facility’s Executive Team. Under the general direction of the Executive Director, Psychiatric Center, the DDPC 2 - Administration will have responsibility for the day-to-day development and direction of administrative management services (human resources, fiscal services and support services) of the facility. The DDPC 2 - Administration will assist the Executive Director and provide administrative leadership; implement facility policies; interpret policy guidelines and monitor the effectiveness of these policies; and ensure Joint Commission standards for Administrative Services are met.
Additional Comments Bronx Psychiatric Center (BPC), a Joint Commission (TJC) accredited mental health facility located in Bronx, New York, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center 2 – Administration. BPC operates inpatient and outpatient programs for adults with mental illness and is affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. BPC has 156 inpatient beds in six units. BPC’s outpatient programs include one (1) outpatient clinic, the White Plains Road Clinic; three (3) Community Service Programs: Health Home Management Coordination (HHMC), an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), and a Mobile Integration Team (MIT); a Residential Village comprised of two (2) Transitional Living Residences (TLR) and one (1) Crisis Residence with 116 beds; and a 104-bed Family Care Program. Background and Investigative Fees:
All prospective employees will be fingerprinted and undergo a complete Criminal Background Check against New York State and federal criminal history records. Candidates will also be subject to a check against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs, and the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR) maintained by the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). Candidates may be required to pay the fees associated with these background checks. Employment is contingent upon your complying with and satisfactorily meeting these background investigation requirements.

Salary: $135,179 - $170,030 (Plus $3,026 Location Pay)
