Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates reachable on the Civil Service Eligible list(s) will be canvassed. However, you may also apply if you are eligible for appointment by one of the following qualifications:

70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55 b/c service as a Grade 16 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service.

70.4 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates with (1) one year of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service at salary grade 11 or higher AND (2) a Bachelor’s degree* with a passing score on the Labor Services Representative Examination may be considered for a 70.4 transfer to a Labor Services Representative, Trainee 1.

*From an educational institution accredited by a regional, national or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education.

Hourly LSR’s are not eligible for transfer or reassignment.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:

As a Labor Services Representative, you would provide a broad range of services to jobseekers and employers both on an individual basis and through telephone calls and email correspondence. You would work on various projects as assigned and provide information on available DOL resources. You would respond to questions from other units, agencies or the public concerning the operation of the unit or program area.

Additional Comments Position specific job duties may include occasional altered work schedule or job assignments which require availability and willingness to work occasional evenings and or out-stationed assignments.

Some positions may require additional credentials or a background check to verify your identity.
