Duties Description The Bureau of Budget Management (BBM), within the Division of Budget, Finance and Data Management is seeking a Program Aide to assist with a variety of budget related activities. The Program Aide will report directly to the BBM Director and will provide administrative and programmatic support within that capacity. BBM has responsibility for budgeting all of OTDA’s State Operations, Capital and Local Assistance programs, including Public Assistance (PA), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), State Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), Child Support and an array of housing and refugee programs. Comprised of four units, the Bureau oversees complicated policy areas and funding structures with a very heavy workload. Duties include, but are not limited to, evaluating and tracking all transactions across the four BBM Units; scheduling and preparing meeting materials for the BBM Director and Bureau staff; developing and updating SFS expenditure reporting; maintaining a legislative tracking matrix; posting mandated materials to the Agency’s Intranet site; assisting with submission of the Agency’s annual Budget Request and evaluation of the Executive and Enacted Budgets; and completion of Special Assignments as needed. The incumbent will develop broad programmatic knowledge and experience, and collaborate with staff across the Bureau, Division and Agency.
Additional Comments A full-time, permanent appointment will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.
