Duties Description Under the supervision of a Fair Hearings Specialist 3, the Fair Hearings Specialist 2 will oversee Fair Hearings Specialist 1 staff, Office Assistants, and support staff within the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH). The incumbent will provide supervisory support to the Brooklyn Intake and Calendar Management Units with the responsibility to provide for all training needs and updating of all program information necessary to the successful functioning of those processes. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, supervising staff, providing program, procedural and training assistance to OAH and local district staff, responding to complex inquiries from appellants, representatives, hearing officers, and local district staff; and, assisting higher level management with the efficient administration of the fair hearing process, or other related duties.
Additional Comments You must be a current New York State employee to apply for this position. A full-time, contingent-permanent appointment will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.
This position includes $3026 in location pay.
