Minimum Qualifications:
Dev. Spec. 2
Permanent New York State certification in special education, or permanent/professional New York State certification in Pre K through 6 extended to teach special education, or professional certification in students with disabilities.

Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To include, but may not be limited to:
• Participates as an active member of the Campus Treatment Teams.
• For school age individuals develops an IEP to ameliorate the persons education deficits.
• May work with individuals towards their GED.
• Will participate in CSE meetings, quarterlies, annual team meetings and special meeting of assigned individuals with other DDSO staff.
• Will request educational supplies as appropriate.
• Administers evaluations at specified intervals to determine overall progress.
• Reviews and updates objectives at specified times, and as deemed necessary.
• Keeps attendance and all other required records.
• Presents training to direct care and clinical staff to facilitate the individuals’ program.
