Minimum Qualifications 1) For AA 1, SG 11 title, you must hold or have held the title of Administrative Assistant 1 (formerly Secretary 1) or be reachable on the full-time NYS Civil Service list and respond to canvass letter that will be sent to people on the eligible list.
2) For AA1 Trainee, SG 8, you must be reachable on an appropriate eligible list or eligible to transfer and, if transferring from a non-keyboarding title, proof of passing a keyboarding test. (EX- OA 1, OA 2, OA 3, and Library Clerk 2 & 3 titles) Transfer eligibility requires that you have served 1 full year in your current title.
*If you are currently in a SG 9 title, you will enter the Trainee 1 position at your current SG 9 salary.
Duties Description Summary: Provides programmatic assistance in the Research and Sponsored Programs Office in the areas of pre-Award and related research compliance administration.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Assists the Director and Associate Director in the preparation of all pre-award activities as applicable, including proposal forms, internal documentations, distributions, database entry in applicable systems at RSPO and the Research Foundation. Maintain information for all pre-award functions of the Oracle systems. Maintain all RSPO records. Assists in organizing special events.
2. Maintains the websites for RSPO, the Institutional Review Board and other related pages.
3. Maintains filing systems for proposals and awards and related files unique to RSPO. Administers progress and final reporting requirements and closes out projects.
4. Provide administrative support for the College Research Committee, and the NYS/UUP Joint-Labor Campus Committee.
5. Provides administrative support to the Chair and members of the Institutional Review Board (IRB), including management of CITI certifications. Manages all IRB applications, assignments to Board members, schedules all IRB meetings, takes minutes at all IRB meetings, and maintains all IRB files.
6. Provides administrative support for Conflict of Interest procedures related to Sponsored projects, including annual reporting and CITI certifications.
7. Provides administrative support for Responsible Conduct of Research certifications; maintains related records.
8. Provides administrative support for the Institute of Animal Care and Use Committee.
9. Supports the administration of the Annual Award Ceremony for teaching, service, and research.
