Minimum Qualifications Eligible for a lateral transfer or eligible for a 70.1 transfer or a 52.6 transfer by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title;

OR

Reachable on the appropriate eligible list in Albany.

Duties Description Reporting directly to the Program Research Specialist 4, the incumbents will perform various tasks involving data collection and analysis, as well as the interpretation and reporting of data. Duties will include, but not be limited to, the following: collect and analyze information from available data sources to support OTDA’s Office of Administrative Hearings, which range from basic reports of hearings, overdue case reports, and timeliness notifications to assess program effectiveness; monitor social service district performance with the goal of determining the areas for training and improvement; identify potential problem areas, trends, program accomplishments, and additional key factors in the hearings system; prepare written reports containing the analysis and interpretation of data collected; identify deficiencies and makes recommendations for improvement; identify new program needs, considering Division goals and other relevant conditions and trends, and the effects of actual or proposed legislation; assist in the development of the Division’s data management system by identifying and analyzing pertinent data to be collected.
