Minimum Qualifications A Gaming Commission employee reachable for appointment from the current Public Administration Traineeship Transition (PATT) eligible list #00-437; OR
Have standing on the current Professional Careers Opportunities (PCO) eligible list AND possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher; OR
A current New York State employee eligible for transfer under Section 70.1, 70.4 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
PATT or PCO list appointees must serve a two-year traineeship (Grade 13, 14) that leads to the Grade 18 salary level.
Duties Description Under the general direction of the Principal Auditor, the incumbent will work with stakeholders to assist with scoping business processes and develop business cases and document requirements as needed for each project. They will be integrally involved in testing development, testing and assisting with critical day-to-day operational needs.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Coordinate, facilitate and assist with agency business process improvement initiatives, evaluating both the efficiency and effectiveness of internal stakeholder processes.
• Develop process models to support agency functions and develop supporting written narrative procedures.
• Conduct daily operations activities such as balancing systems, completing timely winner result activities and sales agent activity tracking.
• Serve as primary contact for day-to-day field staff, lottery customers and sales agents for operational and customer service issues.
• Evaluate performance data to preemptively identify agency improvement opportunities.
• Perform and assist in eliciting, describing and maintaining requirements in comprehensive written documents.
• Participate in implementation functions not limited to system testing, and user acceptance testing.

Mandatory overtime is required.
Appointment will be contingent upon completion of a fingerprint background check before an official appointment offer can be made.
