Minimum Qualifications Eligible for a lateral transfer or eligible for a 52.6 transfer by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title;
OR
Reachable on the appropriate eligible list in Brooklyn.
Duties Description Under the general direction of a Principal Hearing Officer, the Supervising Hearing Officer is responsible for the supervision of Hearing Officers. Duties may include, but are not limited, to: Supervising a unit of Hearing Officers, offering guidance and training. Reviewing and monitoring decisions of all assigned Hearing Officers, assists trainees with hearings, decisions and difficult appellants and their representatives. Holds hearings and drafts decisions as needed.
Additional Comments Appointment to this position is contingent upon Division of Budget approval to fill. You must be a current New York State employee to apply for this position. A full-time, permanent appointment will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.
Location Pay $3,026
