Minimum Qualifications 1. Permanent service as a Nurse Practitioner (Adult Health).

OR

2. Eligible to 70.1 transfer to a Nurse Practitioner (Adult Health).

Must have a New York State license to practice as a registered professional nurse; and certification by the New York State Education Department in a specialty** area to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.

You must meet the current requirements as prescribed by the New York State Board of Nursing for prescribing medication.

**Specialty area must coincide with the scope of practice performed by an incumbent; this denotes appropriate parenthetic.

Duties Description As a Nurse Practitioner (Family Health), you would provide primary health care working in collaboration with a licensed physician or physicians. Duties would include, but not be limited to:

Assessing the physical and psychosocial status of individuals with developmental disabilities in campus based and community based settings by means of interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests; diagnosing illnesses and physical conditions and performing therapeutic and corrective measures. Other duties as assigned.

Additional Comments *Posted salary includes the statutory rate for PS&T Grade 24, Geographic Pay Differential ($20,000) and Increased Hiring Salary ($5,757).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Family and household member relationships: OPWDD policy may impact eligibility for this position.
