Minimum Qualifications • In title as a Nurse Administrator 1, Grade 20, OR;

• Eligible for a 70.1 transfer by way of current permanent status in a title deemed comparable to Nurse Administrator 1 by the Department of Civil Service (must also be within 2 salary grades of a grade 20), OR;

• If the eligible list becomes broken, qualified for provisional appointment via promotion-exam minimum qualifications for appointment. This includes at least two years of permanent competitive service as either:

1. Nurse 2, (including all parenthetics), Community Mental Health Nurse, (including all parenthetics), Infection Control Nurse, or Senior Utilization Review Nurse, OR;

2. Any Grade 16 or higher position that requires a license and current New York State registration as a Registered Nurse.

Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides clinical supervision and Leadership to the RNs in the clinic.
• Responsible for management of all clinic services delivered to consumers throughout the Brooklyn DDSO.
• Clinic Nurse Administrator will be the contact person and liaison at the clinic for referral sources
which include Medicaid Service Coordinators, parents, clinicians, physicians and other service providers.
• Ongoing contact with approved service providers and/or referral sources to communicate necessary information regarding any treatment or services for the referred individual
• Maintaining clinic records to ensure documentation and authorizations for services are up-to-date.
• Monitoring service provision/Medicaid irregularities and reports information to Article 16 Active Treatment Coordinator.
• Completing appropriate termination paperwork when a clinic case is closed.
• Will work collaboratively with TTL, Medical Director, and Medical team.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate and will be evaluated against the following criteria:

1. Demonstrate ability to perform duties as outlined above.
2. Ability to apply meticulous attention to the flow of clinic paperwork.
3. Experience working in clinic or medical office environment
4. Experience with documentation and record maintenance
5. Ability to access or request necessary background information to complete intake process.
6. Ability to communicate in a thorough, concise, accurate, and professional manner both verbally and in writing.
8. Ability to develop, update, and maintain a large number of consumer files with very limited clerical support.
